Vivante is a chiropractic health clinic located in the centre of The Gooi region in Bussum, within easy travel distance of Naarden, Blaricum, Laren and Huizen. Chiropractic is one of the biggest health care professions in the world. Most people are under the impression chiropractic is mainly for neck and back complaints and whilst that is indeed an area of focus within our field, chiropractic can help with a variety of complaints.

When you visit our chiropractic clinic you will first talk through your medical history with your chiropractor. We will then do a thorough examination to specify the source of the complaint. Your chiropractor will look at your entire kinematic chain. Most movemens are not specific to a single joint or muscle. It often takes several joints, muscles and ligaments to work together and create a certain movement whilst mainitaining stability. Therefore, it could be that a different area than the area of complaint will also need to be worked with to create the best longterm results.

Each persons’ treatment plan is tailor-made to their body. Typically, a chiropractic treatment consists of a blend of skillful realignment of the postural, muscular and spinal imbalances by manipulation or mobilisation, soft tissue and muscular relaxation techniques, massage and exercises. Our variety of treatment techniques helps us adapt to what is the best treatment approach for you.

Our chiropractors Vincent Gimbrère, Dieuwertje Schuringa and Jarco Schol have all completed their Chiropractic Degree at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth, England. During and after their studies they have attendend multiple seminars to specialise themselves further in the field of neurology, nutrition, sports and pediatric care. The chiropractors at Praktijk Vivante strive to provide the most complete view of your complaint and your overall health.

At Praktijk Vivante, we are committed to promoting optimal health and well-being for our patients. We like to use a ‘whole person approach’. This means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and look into lifestyle adjustments, if needed, that would optimise the conditions for normal function of the body. This can be with regards to posture, movement, sports, nutrition, rest and sleep.

Sometimes a combination of therapies is needed to provide the optimal health for your spine. In this case, your chiropractor will refer to or work alongside other healthcare professionals such as fysiotherapists, neurologists, exercise therapists or orthopaedic doctors.

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS

Praktijk Vivante is located on the Mezenlaan 15 in Bussum. You can reach the practice by car, there is plenty of free on-street parking available. The clinic is a 3-minute drive from the A1 when you take exit 7 (Bussum) or exit 8 (Blaricum).

The clinic can also be reached with public transport. A 3-minute walk from the practice brings you to the Goudenregenstraat busstop where bus 107 (from Huizen to Hilversum Station) and bus 109 (from Naarden-Bussum Station to Hilversum via Laren/Eemnes) make regular stops.

No referral of your GP, or other healthcare professional, is needed to make an appointment at the clinic. The costs of the treatment can be refunded by your health care insurance when you have an ‘extra’ or comprehensive insurance. Chiropractic is covered under ‘alternative therapies’ in Dutch insurance policies.
